Fine Art: Honorable Mention 2018 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This picture is a selected work from the Art Appreciation in the Digital Age, a series of photograph works which I started several years ago.
I tried depict my observation and study of how people see or think of what art is about today in this digital age.
A girl in front of a giant wall. Is she looking at something?
The title of this image indicates that she might be watching an art work in an exhibition. Would the viewer of this image curious about where the art work is?
If what people have noticed in this image is just a giant blanc wall and a little figure in front of it, or they might soon recognized and realized that she is watching an architecture work by Andou Tadao, which could not be true experienced if people only stay at home and phubbing what or who Andou Tadao is all about on the smartphone.
Most of my photograph works were collages of several images which I spent several hours in different time and days to carefully photographed from the scene. Therefore, they might depict a combination of things happened during a period instead of one little short moment.
The original work of this image is a 180cm x 150cm photograph.
