Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2018 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Photo near Superstition Mountain east of Mesa Arizona. Remains of Saguaro cactus remind me of a Halloween character.
AUTHOR
A long time New Jersey resident, I retired from an investigators position almost 12 years ago and have always seen photography as a sort of release from the day to day. I picked up my first camera, a Kodak Pony 4 back in 1964 that I still have, after receiving some B&W pointers from a local photographer named Eddie Adams. Being and avid car nut, I also had the opportunity to do freelance for Autoweek Magazine shooting Indy car and Nascar as well as for a NJ ad campaign in the 1980's. Having travelled to the southwest, I see a beauty in the stark landscapes there.
