Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2018 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Vestrahorn is a unique place on Iceland, thats at least what the tourist brochure promised. On our way to Vestrahorn I saw my first reindeer directly beneath the street, a lucky coincidence. The Vetrahorn is an impressiv mountain directly at the Atlantic ocean. We arrived during low tide, but the view was clear, not something you can expect. Moreover we had winds in the sky which played magically with the clouds. It wasn`t easy to find a perpective which allowed symmetry and gave an appropriate foreground. The picture has an exposure of more than 5 minutes, it was quite a challenge with strong winds and sand in the air everywhere around. In the end we spent an amazing afternoon at an unique place on earth and had a great time.
