Photomanipulation: 2nd Place Winner 2018 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Oceanside gazing— sight begins to blur and the imagination starts to play — new visual shapes & forms unfold, a common experience for many while sitting by the ocean.
Reflecting the curiosity of the human mind,Transposed is a collection of abstract stories created with the backdrop of the refreshing California coastline, where we explore the boundaries between visual truth and creative fiction. Our resulting photographs are bold monochromatic expressions of vision beyond what the eye can see, but the mind creates. Transposed makes tangible the inner contemplative experience.
AUTHOR
A change in perspective leads to a change in experience– known for their depth of concept and modern redefinition of fine art photography, Melissa Amber + River Lee examine contemporary art through abstraction & ideation. Enticing their viewers' imagination, their photographs unveil thought provoking insight from seemingly normal, natural surroundings. The women began their artistic collaboration known as SOTW in early 2016 while healing and overcoming life altering concussions together using the curative power of nature and art in the lush rainforests of British Columbia. As a creative duo & family they offer a subtle depth and juxtaposed strength within their fine art. Often incorporating their backgrounds in design and love of black/white photography editors of Dodho Photography Magazine describe their works as having “Originality, Creativity, Execution Excellence and Global Impact.” Their original works have won them over 20 international photography honours/awards and are being shown and collected from North America to Europe.
