ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I made this image of my friend's daughter just at the very end of our little shoot. Most of the shots were of her playing and having fun but then at the last moment she stood still, looked directly at me and steadily held my gaze. In many ways this captured her more completely than the photographs of her playing.

AUTHOR
As a professional photographer having spent the past 15 years specialising in wedding and family portrait work I now enjoy exploring my own ideas and concepts with the aim of building up a body of work which reflects this, without the need to work within the confines of client expectations. Having the seed of an idea and then developing and allowing it to grow and then experimenting with a subject who also enjoys the collaborative process has been a revelation and source of fun this year.
