Portrait: Honorable Mention 2018 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photograph is part of my series “breathe !"
Maud is independent and wild, she is anything but a wise little princess.
I imagined these portraits of her with a costume that does not suit her, as a metaphor for roles and stereotypes that society conveys according to sex.
AUTHOR
Once a Parisian, now a Montrealer, Anne-Claire Vimal du Monteil studied cinema, history of art and philosophy. She worked at the Orsay Museum and in L’Archipel, a parisian movie theater dedicated to movie music before devoting herself to photography and photographic post-production.
