ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I was lucky enough to be accepted and welcomed into a small village while traveling in Laos. Everyone showed tremendous hospitality to me, and friendships were built. We wanted to help out for a bit and got to make unforgettable bonds without speaking the same language. Through these kids, I started seeing the beauty in innocence again. Through the adults, I was reminded of how good it is to be part of a working and loving community. This village taught me more than I could’ve seen with just my eyes, I was reminded of the beauty of life. I’ve never felt so secure and happy before till these people welcomed me into their lives. It was a different reality for me, but a memorable one.
