Street: Honorable Mention 2018 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The picture was taken in Berlin, Germany in July 2018. I went to Berlin with a clear idea for a few shots that I wanted to make, but how often happens with street photography, my best shots were the ones that I never planned. I went early in the morning in the heart of the city with the idea to combine the modern architecture with the passing people somehow, luckily enough there was a group of dancers performing near the iconic Marie Elibeth Luder Haus. I had the perfect combination and took a few pictures, without the performers even noticing me as I was on the opposite bank of the river which passes next to the building. I chose three of those pictures for a short story called "States of Mind", this is the second image from the series.
AUTHOR
I am 33 years old, I was born in Bulgaria but I love to travel and I don't usually spend a lot of time in one place. I love to combine my journeys with my passion for photography. I found my love towards photography too late unfortunately, I started in 2012 but ever since photography is my life and my love. My favourite genre is Street photography. I love to capture what happens on the streets, candid scenes which last a second and nobody notices in the busy modern city life. My street scenes have won more than 100 awards on six continents and participated in over 60 international exhibitions around the World during the past years. In June 2016 one of my street projects was judged the best Bulgarian Street photography for the first 15 years of the 21st century. In August 2016 I gained the title AFIAP - Artist of the International Federation of Photographic Art, which made me the youngest holder of the title from Bulgaria. In 2017 I was the second ever Bulgarian the reach the title of EFIAP, title for achievements from the International Federation of Photographic Art.
