Street: Honorable Mention 2018 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The image was taken in Thessaloniki, Greece in July 2016. It is the sixth image from my ongoing project "Music for Deaf", in which I want to show the hard life of the street musicians worldwide. How hard it is to make art and music, when nobody cares and passes by you like you don't exist.
AUTHOR
I am 33 years old, I was born in Bulgaria but I love to travel and I don't usually spend a lot of time in one place. I love to combine my journeys with my passion for photography. I found my love towards photography too late unfortunately, I started in 2012 but ever since photography is my life and my love. My favourite genre is Street photography. I love to capture what happens on the streets, candid scenes which last a second and nobody notices in the busy modern city life. My street scenes have won more than 100 awards on six continents and participated in over 60 international exhibitions around the World during the past years. In June 2016 one of my street projects was judged the best Bulgarian Street photography for the first 15 years of the 21st century. In August 2016 I gained the title AFIAP - Artist of the International Federation of Photographic Art, which made me the youngest holder of the title from Bulgaria. In 2017 I was the second ever Bulgarian the reach the title of EFIAP, title for achievements from the International Federation of Photographic Art.
