One day on a walk in the Brazilian savannah, Bruno found this Mantis, peacefully expected some prey. The mantis insects are very hard to find, because they are famous for their camouflage, also naturally have a low abundance in nature making it difficult to meet them. The backlight of the sun, allowed this spectacular composition of nature forms. The plant is a palm tree, very common in the tropics and your lines have a touch special in the scene, making it unique. Bruno Castelo Branco Damiani is a native of São Paulo, but grew up in his childhood and adolescence in the countryside between the cities of Meridiano and Votuporanga, living among the forests and savannas of northwestern São Paulo State, studying the different types of animals and their interactions with them. the environment. He became a biologist in 2009, completing his master's degree in zoology from the State University of Londrina. Naturalist and preservationist, he devotes his life to the study of ethology (animal behavior), nature and wildlife photography, his other passion. He earned his first camera in 1999 at age 13. He joined the Londrina Photographic Club between 2012 and 2014, also making a book about Fauna and Flora of the Mata dos Godoy State Park, in the state of Paraná, with over 400 photographs selected from over 60,000 captured images. Participates regularly in national and international photography competitions. He was awarded photography competitions at biological sciences events at the University of São Paulo, in the category of animal behavior. It has had some of its photographs voluntarily displayed on Arkive, the largest online database of endangered species on the planet, with photos of the best wildlife photographers and filmmakers. He was twice semifinalist in 2015 and 2018 at the world's most renowned wildlife photography contest, the Wildlife Photographer of the Year, considered the Oscar of Nature Photography, held by the London Natural History Museum in England. He was awarded in 2018, first in the S.O.S Mata Atlântica competition, and third by the Brazilian Confederation of Photography, in the 2nd Photo Nature Brazil, and also awarded in the same year, as an honorable mention at the prestigious Monochrome Photography Awards.
