ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In the heart of the city Basel, the "Messe" — by the architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron — hides something much bigger than a simple exhibition hall as its apparent severe exterior conceals a flexible interior.
The vibrant circumference in its core transports any passerby to a dimension where the laws of physics do not seem to matter. What looked, at first glance, like a purely geometric solution, quickly shows itself as a structure capable of absorbing everything that surrounds it — a genuine urban white hole.
