ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This image is from a series I am currently developing looking at themes of emergence, creation, and time. This particular photograph seeks to project the initial stages of a creation; be it artistic, geographical, metaphysical, emotional. Shooting on film was particularly important, as the natural capture of light over time, reacting with grains on the film itself and the texture and imperfection this provides adds a deeper reality to the themes and grounds the work in the real world - it becomes a physical object and not simply a data file. For me, this allows the image to resonate on a more emotional level, and one which nods to a respect and admiration for the world around us.
