Architecture: Honorable Mention 2019 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This Serie represents the Philharmonic building of Luxemburg in Belgium. It is a place where many international artists perform and contribute to the cultural life of our society.
As a musician and photographer, I am always very curious how the architect picks up the subject of a concert hall and architecturally implements it.
The shape of the architectural body immediately reminded me of individual strings stretched over an instrument. In the duality of things we have black and white or major and minor or light and shadow. Everything is connected.
AUTHOR
Photographer, Percussionist, Creative, Traveler I grew up in an artistic family. My father was a pro photographer with his own color and bw studio. My twinbrother Peter, also a pro photographer, a syn-guitarplayer, creative and producer.
To complete my audio world as a pro percussionist, I started to go inside photography. Architecture is my favorite genre. This includes Modern Architecture, Interieuer Architecture (Lost places), Landscape Architecture, Minimalism and long exposure.
Especially "Long exposure" gives me the option to develop captures with a surreal touch of peace and silence. A clear composition produce a kind of Zen. So the viewer can always "stay" like an invitation through my eyes into my soul.
