Architecture: Honorable Mention 2019 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
It was a foul morning having rained all night, nevertheless, the view towards the east of London from the Shard was amazing beautiful. The sun was occasionally breaking through the ongoing rain clouds and the light was reflecting beautifully on the Thames and little boats. I wanted to capture the zigzag building roof and adjacent street in the bottom left hand corner in order to lead the eye up to Tower Bridge, along the Thames and on towards Canary Wharf in the distance. London remains a great city - even in the rain!
AUTHOR
A memory of past events, experiences and emotions through my eyes.
I have always loved photography. What I really enjoy is taking images that first and foremost appeal to me. They must always evoke a memory of a past event or an experience - the coldness of the snow, the taste of coffee, the smell of a perfume, the music which was playing at the time and most importantly, family and friends. To me, photography is a true art form which must have an emotional connection.
I have a fairly eclectic style. Basically, if I like it, I'll shoot it.
Photography for me is a journey of continual innovation and improvement - always striving to be better and trying to look at things in a different way - the inspiring moment, a dash of the unexpected and a hint of the unknown.
