ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In this shot I wanted to present the light feather being very heavy - a total contradiction of our expectations. I have used letter scales which I felt provided a stunning composition with the curve of the white enamel scale on bottom left corner, counterbalanced with delicate detail of the white feather on the top right hand corner. There is also a pleasing texture on the metal supports. I used a black background to give the image impact.

I have always loved photography. What I really enjoy is taking images that first and foremost appeal to me. They must always evoke a memory of a past event or an experience - the coldness of the snow, the taste of coffee, the smell of a perfume, the music which was playing at the time and most importantly, family and friends. To me, photography is a true art form which must have an emotional connection.

I have a fairly eclectic style. Basically, if I like it, I'll shoot it.

Photography for me is a journey of continual innovation and improvement - always striving to be better and trying to look at things in a different way - the inspiring moment, a dash of the unexpected and a hint of the unknown.
