Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2019 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Desert: a waterless, desolate area of land with little or no vegetation, typically one covered with sand.
Yet if you look closer, you will see life in abundance. This life is supported by the fog rolling in from the Atlantic Ocean. This is the Namib.
AUTHOR
Nadia de Lange is a fine art photographer based in Zurich, Switzerland. She aims to capture the soul of her subject, be it a landscape, building or animal, transforming what others see in the scene into what she sees when looking through the lens. Using mainly black and white, the emphasis is on form and contrast and how the interaction between these elements create beauty.
