ENTRY DESCRIPTION
It is deep winter in Sweden, the days are short and dark and there is nothing outside but wilted grass and barren trees. While visiting my in-laws for Christmas I have noticed how the low sun was illuminating some rose shrubs outside the window. Once blooming abundantly, now standing petrified with cold, surprisingly retaining their leaves. They looked eternal, like neither the cold nor the darkness mattered, like they were just waiting as a peculiar and yet elegant artform for the seasons to change again. Hasselblad 503cx, Ilford Delta100.
AUTHOR
I am a professional artist and cinematographer, but in my free time I am photographing landscape and wildlife with large and medium format film cameras. Originally from Sweden, I have moved to the UK with my husband five years ago and started focusing on traditional black and white film photography.
