Photojournalism: Honorable Mention 2019 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
It was an ordinary summer day, however Shanghai railway station was rather crowded. I found a perfect spot to take this photo in a symmetric way. While monochrome style would express the tension of the environment - crowded, noisy, and stressful, I inverted the colors to see the other side - solitary, calm, and lively.
AUTHOR
I have been interested in photography for over 10 years and have started to "learn it the hard way" since 3 years ago, when I finally had the money and time to make use of good equipment and appreciate the beauty in my life. Photo-taking to me is a great compensation to drawings (which I'm not good at) when I see beautiful things but too lame to draw and share. Therefore naturally, my photos are sort of story-telling and aiming at showing the emotions underneath the view. By doing so I look forward to knowing people who would echo.
