ENTRY DESCRIPTION
A man with an umbrella looking for his freedom among tires
AUTHOR
Helena Georgiou was born and raised in Nicosia, Cyprus.
She studied Interior Architecture and Business Administration, during her studies attended a series of seminars on Fine Arts and Photography. From that moment on, photography became part of her life.
Since, she became a member of the Cyprus Photographic Society. She has showcased a number of solo and group exhibitions around the world, such as both on the island and abroad (Cyprus, Athens, Brussels, Berlin, Cologne, Austria, Strasbourg).
She has been nominated with important distinctions such as European Parliament photographic awards.
Her portfolio includes: street photography, portraits of ordinary peoples, digital art (manipulation), architecture, minimal, still life etc.
Stemming from her deep passion for creativity and detail, her photographs express her feelings and also attempt to elucidate her experiences, trips, and thoughts.
