ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This was our first opportunity to work together. She had just moved to town and was starting a new life and a new career. The confidence, power, strength and dedication that we caught on camera together will stand her in good stead as she goes through these transitions.

AUTHOR
People fascinate me. I am curious about how they think and feel, live and work, and relate to the world around them. For many years I worked as a psychotherapist, using words to help people deal with their emotions, relationships, and traumas.

Since becoming a photographer, my vocabulary has changed from the verbal to the visual. I focus on how people use physicality to communicate and tell their story. I try to draw out their narratives - and document and capture with my camera, what their bodies are telling us.

Taking photographs allows me to connect with people and the world around me, and to share that connection in a very tangible way. I find this process deeply satisfying and endlessly intriguing.
