ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Portrait of a friend in India - Arif, after 48hours without sleeping.
Photographed while working on my (ongoing) project: The Sun-kissed Valley (Dehradun Diary), in January 2019.
Dehradun Diary regroups pictures taken in India while visiting my friend Armaan with whom I studied music seven years ago. It's a story about drugs abuse, mental illness and about the healing process.
AUTHOR
(b.1993 in France) Partly self-taught, the camera has accompanied me since late childhood. I use it to keep a distance and at the same time exist with others in a social environment, discover new places, face the unknown, and to feel at home when - for short or long periods of time - I travel.
In a context that I document and in more transposable ways, my work relies on other people's emotions and mine. I photograph both friends and strangers, in the intimacy of their homes and outside.
