ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Baltimore’s alleys are numerous, dark, forbidding places. In the low light of December, they are haunting.
AUTHOR
Born in Appalachia, educated in the Midwest, mentored in Boston, tutored in Switzerland, and based in New York, Don Kline developed slowly as a designer, a communicator and an educator. His portfolio, created at international studios for a global clientele, brought him broad recognition, but his strengths as a communicator, mentor and teacher have endeared him to many young designers. Entering his eighth decade, he now steers his abilities to see and to record life’s amusements, divertissements and epilogues; to improve his understanding of past experiences in order to gain a fuller appreciation of those that remain to him; and to rekindle his imagination through whimsy, solipsistic reflection, and the more tangible practices of photography.
