ENTRY DESCRIPTION
A night-time long exposure of a scramble crossing in Shinjuku. The blurred flow of the crowds crossing the street impart the energy and experience of being in Tokyo. Viewing the image you feel you are a part of the crowd crossing the street, excited for the nightlife beyond.

AUTHOR
Richard Vandegriend is a self-taught Vancouver based photographer whose passion is landscape and fine-art photography. Believing that composition and timing are critical to a great image, compositional elements are not altered in post-processing. Instead care and patience are exercised to ensure the image was captured perfectly in camera. As landscape photography is so dependent on lighting and weather conditions, more often than not, great images are discovered rather than planned. One must give themselves the time and opportunity to discover these images.
