Hello my name is Mark Balment and I am 41 year old amateur photographer. I have only recently taken up photography but do hope that in the future I can make a career of it.

My main area of focus is the natural world with a particular interest in African animals. This focus has come from a recent trip to Kenya where I fell in love with the country, the people and their animals.I have a real passsion for the conservation of all animals and their environment worldwide.

My preference is for black and white photography and coming from an artistic background, I hope that is portrayed in my work.
