Architecture: Honorable Mention 2019 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Metal Soldiers photograph was taken from the hired motorboat in September 2019 with infrared camera and then converted to B&W.
Photographed architectural subjects are the Maunsell Forts - armed towers built in the Thames and Mersey estuaries during the Second World War to help defend the United Kingdom against German invasion. After the war was over the forts lost their strategic importance and were soon decommissioned. Few pirate radio stations were broadcasting from the Towers.
Photograph has been exhibited at The London Photo Show in London, 17th - 20th October 2019.
