Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2019 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Arching branches protect a country road. The Dark Hedges is an impressive and atmospheric tunnel of trees. To me, strong forms made this motive ideal for a black and white photograph.
AUTHOR
My work as a language teacher consists in trying to encourage and develop my students’ passion for languages. I graduated as a nature photographer in 2015. I love to turn my focus to the study of forms and lines in nature. I have specialized in Nordic landscapes.
During these past few years, I have developed my visual ability and have found my own photographic style while working with the different visual elements: form, color, movement and lines. I strive to create images which have an unreal and dreamlike atmosphere. An interesting and inviting composition makes a good image. Intuition plays a large role in my photography. The location itself creates a certain mood.
