Palendorp

If you are in Petten aan Zee, be sure to check out the Palendorp monument on the beach at Bergeendstraat. This beautiful piece of art consists of 160 posts of six to twelve meters in length and is a gift from the Van Oord-Boskalis contractor. The posts are in the shape of ten houses and a church. It is a reminder of ancient Petten, which was flooded by the sea long ago.
