Portrait: Honorable Mention 2019 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
As the bride was getting her hair done, I found the perfect opportunity to strategically place a flash behind and backlight the hairspray. Right when i took the photo the bride took a sip of her champagne, not knowing I was taking the picture. The rest of the photo shows how chaotic it can be while getting ready for a wedding!
AUTHOR
Photography is my passion. My goal is to tell a story through photos. I appreciate raw reality and the fleeting beauty of those “in-between” moments. I want my viewers to relate to my photographs as I capture their emotions and energy. From an early age I developed a love for the art of photography with my father as my mentor. After practicing throughout the years, I decided to study different areas of photography in college. As I progressed, I began submitting my work in various contests where I’ve won first place and Best in Show. I've also had my work published to the front page of The Durham Fair Catalog. It was here that I found people liked my photos and were willing to hire me to be a part of their special moments. Since then I have been featured in major publications such as Oxygen Magazine, Women's Health, Block Island Wedding Magazine, and others.
