Wildlife: Honorable Mention 2019 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Eyes speak, Divine Touch of morning rays and there she is checking out on intruders with in her territory. Life in and around wild is the best example of well being and harmless surrounding, as this is absolute home to these species and they have been maintaining that mental bonding since day 1.
Wild life is an open book and there does lye loopholes which connects very much to our well being followed by daily routines and hence derivevarious phases of mood swings which very well does reflect back to our personal life.
Expressive pauses are very much valuable in defining certain chemistry which exists, but cannot be charted down in notes cause nature doesn’t have a script writer. But yes they do have an effective way of portraying emotions via such enchanting pauses and that’s done by wild geeks and photographers around.
Photography being an art in which lighting, Depth and surrounding plays a major key role factor, and these can be executed with proper visual analysing skills. What else can add on to this subjective element, thats where these expressive timely frozen pauses take a major hit.
Especially in wildlife, where eye contact these days make major impact, its true to a certain extent. But let me brief you one minor point which can be interesting. Eye contact alone cannot define a character, the emotional aspect that lies deep with in that eyes matters a lot, the tact stare and intruding touch plus complimenting factors such as soothing environment & well lit ambient lighting around can make the scenario much worth experiencing.
Coming to lighting part, the highlight and shadows has to be maintained well. These 2 balanced together as a whole provides the fininshing look & feel to any photograph.
AUTHOR
My self Praveen Premkumar, I hove from Kerala. Guruvayur being my native, I completed my schooling at M.E.S Indian School, Doha Qatar, (Middle East). later on decided to pick up multimedia & animation as my main field because I was friendlier towards creativity and finally shifted on to Bangalore. Currently completed BSc In Multimedia at Wiztoonz Academy of Media & Design, Jp Nagar, Bangalore.
Well photography is my platform and so is cinematography. I had this taste towards photography since teenage. Probably 8th standard and I used to click around roaming with the basic point and shoot film rolled camera. Basically it’s all about my view towards life. How I see a frame and how I wish to freeze it over time and pack it to my collection. The images I click is what I see through my 3rd eye (that’s a common term all use, In fact what I would say is, It’s my way of relating the emotions in subjective life with the once inside my head). There may be variety of perspective for once thought against a subject he/she views, I wish to capture that moment of act which I think is worth a share to the world such that it does convey something to someone.
I love visualising the actions and reactions around me. If I were to analyse what this motherly earth provided us with, then I would come up with a conclusion that it’s just what we see, what we feel and touch. Something you see is what you believe unless you’re corrected with true reasons. But the moment you believe your eyes that’s where you succeed with the available thoughts and assumptions. It may or may not be true, but there’s a fact behind everything you convey your senses with & for.
