Abstract: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
Malbork by Andrzej Kozak (Poland)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The composition presents a fragment of a chamber at the Malbork Castle, Poland. The very castle is a true mediaeval jewel and inspiration for many tourists wishing to know the history and art of the old capital of the Teutonic Knights’ Order. The diamond vault structure is extraordinary. This impression is underlined when the ridges are symmetrically transformed in two planes. We find ourselves facing an abstract picture where it is difficult to discern, at the first glance, how the original photo looked like.
