ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The following project is proposed as a new look at the photography of new technologies, specifically from 3D modeling. The proposal has as its main engine to expand photography beyond its limits, continuing with the trend of post-photography.
In this project, the spaces created are inhospitable places where there is a reference to the human presence from the modeling of its tracks. These traces are those of the artist herself who are anecdotally introduced into the work. It is about the artist's conquest of virtual space as a self-reference. The footprint works as a testimony of someone who was there, in a place and at a precise moment. And the photograph attests that another person photographed what happened. Although there is nothing more real than a photograph, in this case the image obtained is a simulacrum.
The use of monochrome will be the tool that modulates the dialogue with the timelessness of the image. In addition, black and white refers to cinema, specifically silent film, and takes it away from the quality of digital. The point of view is reminiscent of the voyeur of the Hitchcock films and the extraction of color shows the atmospheric feeling of mystery or unheimlich, and also arouses a certain degree of silence.
This series of artistic photographs question the photographic genre as an instrument of representation of reality. They are intended for the viewer to question the nature of the image represented. It is a game of meanings and connections around the image: the real and the fictitious.
