ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This sculpture "An Enclosure for a swing" is a winning work of Kelvin Lim (Year 2009 4th CDL Singapore Sculpture Award); it is now a landmark at Recycle Hill at the Bishan-Ang Mo Kio park. It was a gloomy morning when my wife and I first started to do the sunrise shots. We even had to call off the shooting due to showers and rain. Weather continued to remain overcast after the rain but the sun was out briefly. Wife and I decided to continue with long exposure shot.
I never understood the swing until that particular morning...until I seated within the sculpture.
AUTHOR
I considered myself an amateur photographer who delights in discoveries of the greatness and beauty of this world.
I was a military pilot for 25 years before joining the airlines since 2007. I love travelling; love nature especially beautiful landscapes. But it was not until 2015 that I became serious with photography. It all started when my wife showing me a beautiful sunbird's chick she took using her compact camera.
There was no turned back thereafter. We started with long tele-photo lenses for bird photography to landscape and most recently, exploring into the beauty of Black and White.
It is my hope that many people will get to see the beauty of this wonderful creation through my lenses.
