ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Earlier this year we learned that a close friend had passed, leaving behind his wife and nine children. While we were processing, I bought my wife a bouquet of sunflowers in an attempt to cheer her up a little. As the flowers began to fade, I was struck at how their beauty seemed to deepen and showed in their petals how sometimes sadness and beauty are intertwined.
