Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photo was captured in early Mar this year in Morotai, Indonesia; before our Circuit Breaker (a condition of lockdown in Singapore) kicked in. When I was looking for a composition, I found this big piece of rock, in connection with a far away lone tree, I thought of the problems the world was facing. Never in my life to imagine safe distancing or social distancing being part and parcel of our daily routine.
AUTHOR
I considered myself an amateur photographer who delights in discoveries of the greatness and beauty of this world.
I was a military pilot for 25 years before joining the airlines since 2007. I love travelling; love nature especially beautiful landscapes. But it was not until 2015 that I became serious with photography. It all started when my wife showing me a beautiful sunbird's chick she took using her compact camera.
There was no turned back thereafter. We started with long tele-photo lenses for bird photography to landscape and most recently, exploring into the beauty of Black and White.
It is my hope that many people will get to see the beauty of this wonderful creation through my lenses.
