Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Camogli is a few kilometers from the city of Genoa, it is a place that takes your breath away from how beautiful it is.
Its colorful houses overlook the sea, its small beaches full of stones, its church right on a strip of land where the sea begins, its small marina with the characteristic brightly colored boats and its small lighthouse just 11 meters.
Little is known about this property surrounded by the sea and a unique atmosphere.
Its presence dates back to 1900, but several times the lighthouse of Camogli was destroyed by the violence of the sea and then always rebuilt.
In this shot I wanted to insert the lighthouse in the center of the frame and give the clouds a marked sense of movement with a long exposure.
The end result is interesting and I think the conversion to black and white and the final vignetting is perfect for this image.

I am a fiftyfour year old landscape and travel photographer amateur based in Genoa, Italy.
I started with photography when i was sixteen years old by taking photos with my old analog camera.
In year 2012 i purchasedmy first Digital Camera subsequently improving my photographic equipment.
Every day I try to improve myself trying to draw inspiration from the best photographers and specialized magazines.
I especially love landscape and street photos.
During the post-production phase, I choose whether to edit in color or black and white, trying not to exceed in the processing of the photographs.
