ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This image was captured at Alpine Lake in West Virginia in the late Spring of 2020. I went out to photograph the sunrise over the lake and was greeted with an immense blanket of fog. I was drawn here to the softening effect of this fog on this outcropping of woodland reflecting in the perfectly still lake, and the particular pattern of the low-hanging mist over the surface of the water and kissing the tops of the trees. I was able to capture a highly expressive and atmospheric image that blurs the line between the abstract and the explicit.
