Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The weather condition was certainly one of the worse I had experienced in my overseas trips. Wwe drove to this same place a day before, under the strong and gusty wind up to 65 Km/Hr. At some point during our journey, I had to pull to the side and wait for the wind to calm down a little before I could continue. Then, stopped again when it became too gusty. By the time we reached Vestrahorn, it was already raining dogs and cats. The whole area were flooded; we even saw a few waterspouts just off the coast line. The only thing we could do was to sit back and relax at the cafeteria, enjoyed our coffee and praying for weather to subside in order for us to get back to the hotel.
AUTHOR
I considered myself an amateur photographer who delights in discoveries of the greatness and beauty of this world.
I was a military pilot for 25 years before joining the airlines since 2007. I love travelling; love nature especially beautiful landscapes. But it was not until 2015 that I became serious with photography. It all started when my wife showing me a beautiful sunbird's chick she took using her compact camera.
There was no turned back thereafter. We started with long tele-photo lenses for bird photography to landscape and most recently, exploring into the beauty of Black and White.
It is my hope that many people will get to see the beauty of this wonderful creation through my lenses.
