Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This was taken in March of 2020 at Budir, Snaefellsnes, Western Iceland. An icy blizzard had been raging and was just beginning to clear. A lot of the mountain range was still shrouded in snow and cloud and this made for a very ethereal landscape. I like the way that the black volcanic sand beach mirrored the dark at the top of the image and that the two peaks were just emerging from the wild weather.
AUTHOR
I'm a keen amateur photographer with a passion for minimalist, abstract and otherworldly images. This kind of photography allows me to create and quite frankly escape a little bit from 'reality.' I live in rural North Wiltshire in the UK but through my job I have had the opportunity to travel far and wide. I particularly like seascapes but dabble in all kinds of landscape. Currently use Fuji GFX kit.
