Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
My intention was a sunrise image at this location. The weather did not cooperate with pouring rain all day. The bleak weather enhanced the mood of this image more so than a sunrise. I felt fortunate to witness these conditions.
Image captured at Whytecliff Park, West Vancouver, BC Canada on 2020-10-12.
Captured in infrared with a fully modified Canon EOSR and an 830 nm filter.
AUTHOR
My name is Kimberly Sibbald. I’m an Canadian amateur photographer, living in beautiful Alberta. Photography is my passion, with Infrared, Nightscapes and Astrophotography as my specialties. I don’t photograph subjects. I photograph the way they make me feel. Admittedly, it’s a bit of a strange concept. But it’s honest – and it’s the best way to describe my approach to the craft. I wrestle with every image I shoot. I assume perfection is possible and I want to wring it out of every picture. I am dedicated to creating subtly saturated images that evoke the magic of the moment.
