Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
It was in the Iguaçu National Park, in Brazil, where I took this photo.
I was walking with my wife and friends, marveling at the landscape, photographing all the waterfalls, and I didn't even notice the birds that flew by the falls.
Only at home, when I transferred the images to the computer, I was able to enlarge the photo and notice the large number of birds, flying without any difficulty among the huge waterfalls.
How magnificent is the nature!
AUTHOR
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, in 1964. I am an ophthalmologist by profession and photographer by passion. My relationship with photography started around the age of 15, with my father's Olympus OM-1 and has not stopped since. After a brief relationship with pet photography, which I still love, I discovered that nature photography is my niche, from the macro world of landscapes to the micro world of plants, trying to relate them to panoramic photography, which is the closest way our eyes see the world. Today, I pay special attention to the forms and textures and how the light influences them, which is leading me to new experiments and interpretations, directing me to fine art photography.
