ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This image was taken in Saint Lucia.

I wanted to capture the fluidity of the bubbling hot mud with the sunlight on it. I was drawn to the shapes, sheer movement and light in the composition. This is the essence of the photograph.

I have always loved photography. What I really enjoy is taking images that first and foremost appeal to me. They must always evoke a memory of a past event or an experience - the coldness of the snow, the taste of coffee, the smell of a perfume, the music which was playing at the time and most importantly, family and friends. To me, photography is a true art form which must have an emotional connection.

I have a fairly eclectic style. Basically, if I like it, I'll shoot it.

Photography for me is a journey of continual innovation and improvement - always striving to be better and trying to look at things in a different way - the inspiring moment, a dash of the unexpected and a hint of the unknown.
