Photojournalism: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
All across Zimbabwe, specifically rural Zimbabwe, school infrastructure sits unfinished and exposed to harsh elements. This classroom is a skeleton without its roof, windows, doors, or floors. Even under these circumstances, students walk up to 10 kilometers per day to get a warm meal and a good education.
In Zimbabwe and around the world schools are more than education. Schools are a safe haven, a community of peers, and a place to get a day's meal in.
