AUTHOR
I’m a humanitarian travel photographer, and artist who spends the last years traveling around the world, especially in PVS countries. I solo traveled along the Mekong for weeks, crossing Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, and I spent the entire lockdown in the Turkana Desert, near the border between Kenya, Uganda ad South Sudan. I testified the escalation of the coronavirus from one of the most rural places on Earth working as a photographer for UNICEF, Amref-Health Italy, and local authorities.
I took apart on the ground missions that drove me where not many western people had the opportunity to go. I faced self-armed populations, locust invasion, an earthquake and have been in precarious conditions for months. During this time, I have immortalized the life codings of those extreme places where the COVID-19 has only accentuated the contrasts.
My story has been told on Italian online newspapers and blogs and the UN website.
