Photojournalism: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
One of the last shepherds, there are very few left to go out to the field with the sheep, an ancient tradition dies.
Surrounded by his faithful dogs who watch waiting for orders, the old shepherd scans the horizon, looks at the sky and decides where to continue to avoid the summer storms, this has been his job since childhood and he will continue in the field until he can no longer work more.
Working from morning to night, every day of the year, there are never vacations or days off, it is a job that has continued the same for hundreds of years, a job that nobody wants to do today.
AUTHOR
My name is Jesus and I was born in Spain in 1978.
Member of the Spanish Royal society of photography.
Professional airline pilot who allows me to practice my passion for photography in different places.
As a purely urban photographer,I usually spend many hours walking around the city looking carefully at everything around me.
I am very concerned with the situation of the people who have difficulties and my photography shows sometimes the worst human behavior like people look away when they see someone with problems.
Normally I work with a Leica M9 and a 50mm lens, i like to have the control about my camera not the opposite.
