ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Inuit hunter is shooting a ptarmigan on his way to his camp, on the Koroc River, near Kangiqsualujjuaq (Canada). The ptarmigan was cooked directly on wood fire and was delicious.
In Nunavik, nearly 80 % of the Inuit population eat mainly country food. Fishing and hunting are important cultural and subsistence activities.
