Photojournalism: Honorable Mention 2020 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In Northeast Minneapolis there's a Catholic church by the name of St. Maron's. As the city shuts down in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, from noon to three every day, a rotation of five priests can be found in the church garage offering a drive-thru service for confessions.
Eager to develop today's images I made a critical chemical error during development-- I used print developer instead of film developer. I noticed the mistake in the last few minutes of the process and cursed profusely but opted to just finish the last few steps and see what I got.
Miraculously, all of my images turned out fine. Why did the photo gods spare me this day? Divine intervention? I was sure to say my ten zone systems and five Hail Mary (Ellen Mark)s.
