She had just moved from dancing professionally to teaching her own dance program. This was the first time in months that she again was wearing toe shoes. It was an important transitional moment for both of us.
AUTHOR
People fascinate me. I am curious about how they think and feel, live and work, and relate to the world around them. For many years I worked as a psychotherapist, using words to help people deal with their emotions, relationships, and traumas.
Now as a photographer, my vocabulary has changed from the verbal to the visual, from words to images. I focus on working with people who use their physicality, their bodies and their actions, to communicate and tell their story. The camera enables me to translate their narratives, what their bodies are telling us, into the accessible and universal language of photography.
