ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Historically, fish from Thailand's inshore waters have been a significant provider of protein to the population. The average yearly fish consumption was 32.4 kg per capita and provided on average 10–14 grams of protein per capita per day. Consumption of fish is almost certainly higher than reported, as many fish are caught and consumed without passing through the marketplace.
AUTHOR
Born in 1966 in Siena, where he lives, he is a civil engineer.
Having always been attracted to nature and fond of travel and adventure, with the passing of the years, he managed to find more time to cultivate these passions, connecting them to his growing love of photography. Photography understood as a chance to live and evoke magical moments, brief yet thrilling, filled with unforgettable emotions and indescribable sensations. Therefore, photography inclined, even more than to arouse emotions in others, to recreate experiences lived for himself. Passions, both for travel and photography, which helped to capture a different dimension of life, probably more contemplative than relating to work, yet, no less important and certainly more interesting for him.
And so, he learned to favor a sense of expectation, faced with the unknown, essential for looking at nature and everything that surrounds it with respectful contemplation.
Waiting for the sprint of a feline, the flight of a bird, the rising of the dawn, the light of a sunset, these taught him to manage the frenzy of an occupation in a different way, work which, sometimes, had previously been carried out without being able to grasp the real essence of things.
The passion for new and continuous travel experiences led him to a constant search for different destinations and fascinating adventures; adventures experienced visiting dozens of countries around the world: Polynesia, Namibia, Bolivia, Norway, Botswana, Tanzania, Morocco, South Africa, The United States, Burkina Faso, Iceland...travel experience that he decided to tell through the photos shown on this site.
