ENTRY DESCRIPTION
There was a black painted wall in downtown Los Angeles that made for a great backdrop. I would go there on the weekends and wait for people to pass by. These three captured my interest. I was lucky to get the three stages of smoking in one shot.
AUTHOR
I've been enjoying photography for the past 40 years. Diane Arbus, W. Eugene Smith, and Mary Ellen Mark are just a few great photographers that had a profound influence over me. I love shooting people. I make sure they know that I'm taking their photo which means I talk to them. With the few moments I have, I shoot one to two frames and off they go. I was taught old school to shoot full frame and don't crop except within the viewfinder.
