ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Taken at the crossroads by Holborn underground station in central London, this photograph uses panning to try to capture the ceaseless activity which pervades a big city. The sense of urgency and impatience reaches its peak as we see the motorbike and the black cab competing for space on the road while seeming to travel at great speed, with the former overtaking the latter. One of the passengers on the motorbike glances nervously over their shoulder during the manoeuvre, while the passenger in the back of the cab looks on with annoyance at this theft of precious milliseconds.
